Membership Levels

ResearchChannel caters to our valued consortium members by tailoring our services to their needs. All members benefit from our expansive distribution, multiple-format encoding and 24/7 satellite distribution. Additional services are offered according to a range of membership levels.

The following information applies to universities and other non-profit research organizations. We also welcome corporate research organizations as members. More information for corporate research organizations can be found here.

Basic Program Members pay $5,000 annually.
Members receive 5 program hours each year broadcast to nearly one-third of all U.S. households.
ResearchChannel encodes all member programs for the Web and makes them available through our searchable database of more than 3,500 videos in our online library at ResearchChannel.org.
ResearchChannel programming is further distributed online through iTunes U and YouTube.
Basic Program Members are listed on the ResearchChannel Web site and recognized at ResearchChannel events.
Members can log in and interact with each other through our member blog, Uplink, and take part in the ResearchChannel Annual Meeting.

Program Members receive all the same benefits as Basic Program Members with 10 program hours annually.
Dues are $10,000 each year.
Additionally, members can submit five short-subject programs for broadcast on ResearchChannel and five high-definition programs for the ResearchChannel iHDTV™ multicast channel each year.
Promotional advantages include increased representation on the ResearchChannel Web site with logos, and at all ResearchChannel events.
At this level, members also receive a weekly 30-second promotional on-air spot.
Program Members may collaborate in production grants and proposals.

Members at this tier receive 20 program hours annually and all the above benefits.
Dues are $15,000 each year.
Sustaining Members may submit an additional 10 short-subject programs for broadcast on ResearchChannel and 10 high-definition programs for the ResearchChannel iHDTV™ multicast channel each year.
Sustaining Members are eligible for live broadcasts on the ResearchChannel and a 30-second promotional spot rotated three times a week.

Members at this level receive 50 program hours annually and all the above benefits.
Annual dues are $25,000 a year.
Program and Technology Members may submit an additional 20 short-subject programs for broadcast on ResearchChannel and 20 high-definition programs for the ResearchChannel iHDTV™ multicast channel each year.
At this level, members receive a 30-second promotional spot daily, and are eligible to be named series sponsors with accompanying promotional on-air spots.
Program Technology Members are invited to participate in ResearchChannel technology demonstrations, experiments and grants.

Our highest level of membership for universities and government and research organizations.
Annual dues are $50,000 each year.
In addition to the benefits listed above, Premier membership includes 100 program hours per year, 30- and 60-second promotional spots daily and even further Web promotion at ResearchChannel.org.
