ResearchChannel will participate in the demonstration of an international, collaborative "data grid" with members of the Worldwide Universities Network at the IEEE-CS International Symposium in Sardinia, Italy, June 20-24. The data grid, based on Storage Resource Broker (SRB) technology developed at the San Diego Supercomputing Center, provides a fabric for sharing content between digital repositories over next-generation networks. ResearchChannel is working toward incorporating SRB into its DigitalWell infrastructure, enabling peer-to-peer interoperation and content sharing with federated digital libraries.
