The focus for the WCET 2006 Conference is expanding e-learning and identifying and sharing ideas and practices about what works and what doesn’t in higher education. WCET brings together professionals in higher education to pave the pathway towards new technologies in e-learning.

Real World Tech: Emerging Technology in the Field
Saturday, November 4, 2006, 9:00am - 10:15am
Sure it's neat, but can it work outside the campus? These presenters will
first show how they accomplished the first ever, live high definitation
broadcast and web-cast from the sea floor. Then a group from CSU Monterrey
Bay will discuss new technologies, including solar-power wireless mesh
networks, digital still and video cameras for virtual field trips, and the
construction and operation of remote operated vehicles.
