SC07 is the international conference for high performance computing, networking, storage and analysis. A new cluster challenge was introduced at SC07 to expand the frontiers of high-performance computing by combining computation, networking, storage and analysis elements into a single competition. ResearchChannel participated at SC07 as an exhibitor.

ResearchChannel demonstrated the power of iHDTV™, capable of streaming uncompressed 1080i high-definition video, by integrating it into OptIPortal display technology. Advanced high-capacity transport facilities at the Pacific Wave international peering exchange and Pacific Northwest Gigapop connected our collaborators and provided the highest-speed networking to maximize performance. We broadcasted in live, interactive HD every day from Seattle to Australia, presenting orchestras, rock bands and informative speakers. This combined system creates the ultimate collaborative environment to explore science, research and the arts with real-time communication abilities.
