Description:
As more of our activities are carried out online, technologies for protecting our privacy are becoming increasingly important. One avenue of protection is through anonymity, in the context of peer-to-peer systems. Nikita Borisov of the University of California at Berkeley, explains how he has applied simulations and probabilistic models for computing the metrics for large peer-to-peer systems into Freenet, an anonymous peer-to-peer publishing system. Learn about Borisov’s design and how it provides a consistent level of anonymity to its users while maintaining logarithmic routing performance.
