The Global Village

Description:
Do you feel good about yourself? It is almost common knowledge now that the images we see have an impact on how we feel about ourselves, even if we are not consciously aware of that impact. The television and film industries are often challenged about the images they spread of beauty, wealth, power, good, and evil. The nation's minority communities have been especially vocal about how many of these images cast them in unfavorable lights. Here an African American filmmaker and American-Arab activist tell why.

Speaker(s):
Bruce Brown, filmmaker/CEO, Televideo & Film, Inc.

Hussein Ibish, media director, American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee
