C. William Balke, M.D. presents a talk about the current status of potentially available cardiac cell replacement therapies as part of the UK Dean's Distinguished Lecture Series. He also discusses the suitability of embryonic stem-cell derived cardimyocytes, as well as provides an understanding of the safety and ethical issues of cell replacement therapy. Dr. Balke is the Senior Associate Dean for Research at University of Kentucky's College of Medicine.
