Explore the role of neuropeptidases in Alzheimer's disease with Dr. Louis B. Hersh, the George Schwet Professor and Chair of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry and Senior Associate Dean for Basic Science Affairs in the College of Medicine at the University of Kentucky. Dr Hersh's work has shown that peripheral expression of neprilysin leads to a decrease in amyloid burden in the brain.
