Description: Total hip resurfacing arthroplasty is a bone-sparing alternative to hip replacement for very active younger patients. Quadriceps-sparing total knee replacement is a less invasive procedure for inserting knee replacement implants, involving a shorter incision and less recovery time. We profile UW Medical Center patients who have had these procedures and discuss the techniques with physicians who treated them.
